Keeping an eye out for content that can support my lessons on empathy is important to me. So when I found Animal Etiquette for Kids I felt that it was a fantastic addition to my library! The book effectively teaches children about the proper care and treatment of animals in a way that is both fun and informative. Animals deserve the same respect that humans do! My kids (and myself) loved the colorful illustrations in the book.

In this book, you’ll find lessons on various scenarios you may encounter with an animal as well as basic (yet important!) ways to treat an animal well. Moreover, the discussion questions at the end of each chapter provide excellent opportunities for further exploration of the topic. I’ve noticed a positive impact on my kids’ attitudes towards our pets. It’s good to get kids thinking about these kinds of things, because if you don’t tell them, who can you expect to? It’s a must-have for parents looking to get their kids into some more critical thinking, as well as developing more compassion and respect for others.
