From the very first page, my kids were hooked on the absolutely adorable Thistle’s escapades. We all eagerly followed along as he explored the world around him. The illustrations are super cute and they bring the barnyard to life, making each page a delight just to look at. Robert Wasilewski did a good job relaying his themes of curiosity, friendship, and the importance of staying true to oneself. Robert Wasilewski is a retiree who has managed investments, coached athletic teams, substitute taught in high school, and taught Economics at a local community college. He grew up as an Army brat, and his family eventually settled in Kensington, Maryland. Today, having retired to Hightop Mt. in the VA Blue Ridge, his favorite pastime is gathering the grandchildren outdoors and telling them stories.
